Terre Exotique Smoked White Penja Pepper IGP 500g

Terre Exotique’s smoked white Penja pepper is aromatic, with smoky menthol notes – the perfect partner for shellfish, red meat and chocolate desserts. This rare pepper is harvested when ripe, washed and left to dry in the sun – the process is done entirely by hand by local villagers in Cameroon.  

This pepper is perfect for using in a pepper mill, or grind the peppercorns in a pestle and mortar, then use to season pan-fried scallops, stir through creamy sauces for pork or sprinkle over rich chocolate ganache. 

In 2014, white Penja pepper was awarded PGI status (Protected Geographical Indication), becoming the first product of the African continent to gain this accolade.
