The eco-friendly striped tote bag is perfect for transporting groceries from your local deli or farmers’ market. It’s both stylish and practical, with blue and white stripes between columns of vibrant green. Fill it with books or use it to transport your lunch to work, school or on a picnic.
Designed by British Colour Standard, this tote bag is made in India from used cement sacks left over from construction. Each sack is washed and shredded to create material that can be spun into thread, re-dyed and woven into colourful, durable bags.
The bag measures 40cm x 44cm and features sturdy handles and a magnetic closure to keep contents safe and secure.
About British Colour Standard
First established in the 1930s, British Colour Standard was revived in 2015 by Jackie Piper and Victoria Whitbread after they discovered an old colour dictionary in an Oxfam shop. A digital colour reader established a profile for the hundreds of colours created and logged in the 1930s and these original colours and names are used in their current collections. British Colour Standard now produces contemporary home accessories for colour lovers, alongside a luxury paint collection.
