Muzzi Limoncello Colomba

Muzzi’s limoncello colomba is filled with sweet limoncello cream, candied lemon peel, and pieces of plain chocolate – all nestled in a rich buttery, golden brioche-style dough. The colomba is made using a slow-leavened sourdough method, with fresh eggs and Italian sugar. The candied lemons come from southern Italy, chosen for their size and beautiful aroma. While the butter is made from cows who graze on open grasslands, which enriches their milk with even more flavour.

Muzzi was founded in the 18th Century by Master Muzzi in the Umbrian town Foligno, Italy. Muzzi’s aniseed marzipan recipe proved a great success with the nobility at the time, and his business grew into breads and pastries. Today, the brand makes some of the best celebration breads, panforte and panettone. 

Ingredients: wheat flour, filling cream 15% (sugar, glucose syrup, whole milk, limoncello liqueur 10% (water, sugar, alcohol, lemon infusion 10%), water, natural flavours, stabiliser: pectin), butter, eggs, candied lemon peels (lemon peels, glucose-fructose syrup, sugar, acidity regulator: citric acid), sugar, plain chocolate 5.5% (sugar, cocoa mass, cocoa butter, emulsifier: sunflower lecithin, natural vanilla flavour), egg yolk, natural yeast (wheat), milk, sugar grains 2% (powdered sugar (sugar, wheat starch), sunflower oil, wheat starch, potato starch, natural colouring agent: curcumin, natural flavours), emulsifiers: mono and diglycerides of fatty acids, glucose syrup, flavours, salt.
