The 26cm De Buyer Mineral B griddle pan gives you great cooking results every day. Griddle chicken breasts, vegetables or steaks for a chargrilled flavour.
De Buyer’s Mineral B range of iron pans are coated with natural beeswax. This provides protection against rust. The beeswax also gives Mineral B pans enhanced non-stick properties on the first use compared to other iron pans.
The frying pan has a ‘lyonnaise’ profile – this means there’s no sharp, straight edges around the rim, so food slides easily from pan to plate.
SEASONING INSTRUCTIONS
The De Buyer Mineral B griddle pan requires proper seasoning to keep it in top condition. Before the first use, use hot water and a soft sponge to remove the beeswax coating. Then season the pan – pour in just enough oil to coat the bottom of the pan and bring to a high temperature. When a smoky-haze appears remove it from the heat and wipe well with kitchen towel. Now the pan is ready to use.
Always ensure there is enough oil or natural fat (e.g. butter, lard) in the pan when using, then deglaze with hot water and wipe with a paper towel after use. If the pan needs washing, ensure it is completely dried and lightly-oiled before storing. Follow these steps and your pan will build up a dark patina that increases the pan’s non-stick properties. The more you use it, the more non-stick it will become.
This Mineral B griddle pan is 26cm in diameter with a 22cm handle. It is suitable for all cooking surfaces including induction.
Please note: due to the manufacturing process there may be scratches on the inner surface of the pan. This does not affect the quality of the product and will disappear with proper seasoning over time.
